Clijsters out to 11/8 for Grand Slam win - SKY Bet - Tennis
Sky Bet have lengthened Kim Clijsters' odds of winning a Grand Slam this year to 11/8 (from 8/11) following her premature third round exit from the Australian Open. The Belgian was beaten in just 52 minutes by Russia's Nadia Petrova.
Sky Bet's tennis betting spokeswoman Helen Jacob said: "It was a strange performance for a player whose form was excellent leading into the tournament and was the pre-tournament joint favourite for the title. At her best though, Clijsters is still a main contender for the three remaining Grand Slams so she will no doubt look ahead towards the French Open later this year."
Fellow comeback queen Justine Henin fought back from a set and a break down against 27th seed Alisa Kleybanova to progress to the last 16 and is Sky Bet's 1/5 favourite to beat fellow Belgian Yanina Wickmayer (7/2) in the fourth round. The seven-time Grand Slam champion is an 11/4 chance to win the Australian Open, behind 2/1 favourite Serena Williams.
