Déjà Vu? Bolton 25/1 To Be The Last Team To Score
As the Barclays Premier season draws to an end Sky Bet are offering odds on which
team will score the last goal of the 2008/09 Barclays Premier season. Last year saw
Matthew Taylor reward the backers of Bolton at 40/1 when he scored in the 90th
minute against Chelsea. The Wanderers travel to the City of Manchester Stadium on
Sunday and are 25/1 to be the last team to score. West Ham, who were the first team
to score this season after just three minutes, are 14/1 to be the last team to
score, with Arsenal, who host Stoke, the 13/2 joint favourites along with Liverpool
and Manchester City. Manchester United, who have been criticised over the last few
days for resting their big guns for their trip to the KC Stadium on Sunday, are 8/1
along with Chelsea, who travel to the Stadium of Light.
Sky Bet's Tim Reynolds said, "We offered this market last year and were surprised by
how much interest there was amongst our customers. We won't be taking big individual
sakes but this is a fun market which gives punters an interest right the way up to
the final whistle."
