Daily Free Games Hub & Guide

Daily Free Games are free-to-play daily perks on UK bingo sites and casinos — mostly Gamesys brands like Jackpotjoy, Virgin Games, Monopoly Casino and Bally Bet. They usually work like a treasure-hunt grid where you pick hidden tiles, but some use spin wheels, scratch cards or open-the-box formats instead. The most popular games are Balls of Joy, Free Parking Picks, Prize Picks, Bally Daily Picks, Doubly Bubbly and Search for the Phoenix.

Most UK bingo and casino sites that offer them only require a one-off qualifying deposit (usually £10) to unlock permanent access. After that, you log in, pick your squares, and see what you win.

Below we list the most popular Daily Free Games on UK sites, with details on how each one works and where to find it. Tap any game to see prize details and qualifying info.

Daily Free Games Guide: What Are They & Where to Play Them?

Daily Free Games (DFG) are simple grid-pick games you can play once a day on certain UK-licensed casino and bingo sites including Jackpotjoy sister sites.

Every DFG is played in a very similar way. You open a board of hidden tiles, usually 10 columns by 9 rows, so 90 tiles in total — and pick six tiles each day. Behind each tile is either a miss, an instant-win icon worth a small cash amount (often from a few pence up to £10), or a symbol you collect over the week. Collect enough of the same symbol between Monday and Sunday and you win the cash prize shown for that line in the paytable, starting at around £1 for three matches and going up to £750 if you find all ten of the top symbol.

Daily Free Games such as Balls of Joy are usually free to play once you have made the qualifying deposit. This can be a once-in-a-lifetime deposit or a small weekly deposit. This is shown clearly on the site's T&Cs.

You do not stake any of your own balance when you play the DFGs. Depending on the site, the standard game rules usually use promotional credit rather than your real-money funds, and nothing is taken from your account when you tap your tiles.

Any cash prizes you win are usually added straight to your withdrawable balance once you hit a prize line, and on most sites such as Monopoly Casino there are no wagering requirements on those winnings — you can withdraw them as normal or use them on other games just like any other money in your account.

Balls of Joy Jackpotjoy £750
Bally Daily Picks Bally Bet £750

Qualifying Deposit

To qualify for each Daily Free Game you first need to make a qualifying deposit, usually £10. After that, the DFG itself is free to play every day — no stake is taken when you use your daily picks. Easiest way to frame it: free to play daily once you've made a qualifying deposit.

Weekly Cycle

Daily Free Games on platforms like Gamesys-operated bingo sites and casinos such as Virgin Games run on a Monday–Sunday week. Your symbols reset every Monday at midnight, so anything you've collected either pays by Sunday night or disappears for the new week.

Miss a day and you simply lose that day's picks; you're not charged, and you can't backdate them.

With a full week of daily picks, the lower prizes are realistic if you play most days. The top prize needs all ten copies of the rarest symbol from 90 tiles, so it stays a long-shot.

Instant Wins

Any tile can reveal an instant-win icon — the prizes range anywhere between 10p to £10 cash depending on the site, as some might not offer cash prizes at all. Some might be free spins on Secrets of the Phoenix Elements or Double Bubble. These wins are separate from the weekly collect-to-win prizes and are paid straight away.

Monthly Game

Some sites have monthly games. These work by every day you play earning one pick for a monthly bonus game on the last day of the month. Log in on that final day, open the monthly game and use your saved picks to reveal extra prizes. If you skip the last day, you lose that month's bonus picks.

Monthly Bonus Games Compared
Site Monthly Game Max per Symbol
Jackpotjoy Bigger Balls of Joy £100
Bally Bet Bally Bonus Picks £100
Virgin Games VIP Picks Not disclosed
Monopoly Casino Bonus Parking Picks £10

Winnings: Cash vs Spins

Some Daily Free Games like Bally Daily Picks offer cash prizes and some offer free spins. You don't claim anything manually. Prizes go straight into your account — free spins on selected games, and cash straight to your balance — and can usually be withdrawn or used on other games without extra wagering.

The newer Gamesys games (Balls of Joy, Free Parking Picks, Prize Picks, Bally Daily Picks) are cash-only. These are available to play on Virgin Games sister sites. Each of these games are similar, just with different themes.

Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet offer the most popular Daily Free Games — Doubly Bubbly and Search for the Phoenix pay free spins on the linked slots, higher wins pay cash. Spins are auto-credited, and any winnings are normally paid as cash but can expire if you leave them unused. If you want simple cash, the Gamesys titles are easier; if you like spinning Double Bubble Megaways or Secrets of the Phoenix, the LiveScore/Virgin Bet games give you more slot play.

Staying in Control

Daily Free Games are free to play after you've made the qualifying deposit set out on each site's terms, but they still get you logging in regularly. If your quick six picks often turn into extra slots or casino play you didn't plan, that's the time to set (or lower) deposit limits, add session reminders or use a time-out on your account. Any money or free-spin winnings from Daily Free Games is still real cash in your balance, so it helps to treat it like any other gambling spend when you set your budget. 18+ only. GambleAware.org.

Daily Free Games FAQs

What is a Daily Free Game?
A Daily Free Game is a free-to-play pick-and-reveal game offered by some UK-licensed bingo and casino sites. You typically pick tiles on a hidden grid each day and collect matching symbols across the week. Match enough of one symbol type and you win a prize — that could be cash, free spins or a mix of both, depending on the site. No stake is deducted from your balance when you play. The game usually runs on promotional credit, and on many sites the prizes are withdrawable with no wagering requirements.
Do I need to deposit to play a Daily Free Game?
On most sites you need a qualifying deposit before you can access the daily free game. On Gamesys brands like Jackpotjoy and Virgin Games, that is usually a one-off £10 deposit and you never need to deposit again. On Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet the qualifying terms may differ. Check the site's T&Cs for the exact deposit requirement before signing up.
Which UK sites have Daily Free Games?
Here on Glitzy Bingo we list the most popular Daily Free Games currently running on UKGC-licensed sites. These include Balls of Joy at Jackpotjoy, Prize Picks at Virgin Games, Free Parking Picks at Monopoly Casino, Bally Daily Picks at Bally Bet, plus Doubly Bubbly and Search for the Phoenix at Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet. Other sites may offer their own versions under different names.
Where can I play Daily Free Games like tombola?
Tombola runs its own style of daily free games which are exclusive to their site. If you enjoy that kind of free daily play, sites like tombola such as the Gamesys brands offer something similar with their pick-and-reveal grid games. Jackpotjoy, Virgin Games, Monopoly Casino and Bally Bet all have their own Daily Free Game with cash prizes. Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet offer Doubly Bubbly and Search for the Phoenix which award free spins instead. Check our game list above for all the options we currently cover.
How much can you win on a Daily Free Game?
It varies by site. On the games we list here, weekly prizes typically range from around £1 or a handful of free spins up to £750 cash. Some tiles also reveal instant-win icons worth a few pence to £10 on the spot, on top of the weekly collect-to-win prizes. The lower prizes are realistic if you play most days, but the top prize is always a long-shot. Other sites may have different prize tables and limits, so always check the specific game's rules.
How do I actually get my winnings?
It depends on the site. On Gamesys brands like Jackpotjoy and Monopoly Casino, cash prizes go straight into your withdrawable balance with no wagering. On Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet, lower prizes are paid as free spins on specific slots, and any winnings from those spins are normally paid as cash but can expire if left unused. You don't need to claim anything manually on any of these sites — prizes are credited automatically.
What happens if I miss a day?
If you don't log in on a given day, you lose that day's picks. There is no way to backdate them or carry them forward. Missing a day just means fewer chances to match symbols that week — it doesn't cost you anything from your balance, and it's not something to feel pressured about.
How does the monthly bonus game work?
Some sites offer a monthly bonus game alongside the daily one. On Gamesys brands, every day you play earns one pick for a bonus round on the last day of the month. Log in on that final day and use your saved picks to reveal extra prizes. If you skip the last day, those bonus picks are lost. Not every site with a Daily Free Game offers a monthly bonus, so check the specific game's terms.
Is Balls of Joy the same game as Free Parking Picks, Prize Picks and Bally Daily Picks?
Yes. All four Gamesys sites use the same grid, the same daily picks and the same weekly cash prizes. The only things that change are the symbol designs and the monthly bonus cap. If you only care about the daily game, it doesn't really matter which of the four you play on. If the monthly bonus matters, Jackpotjoy and Bally Bet are the better picks.
What happened to Doubly Bubbly and Search for the Phoenix?
Doubly Bubbly and Search for the Phoenix used to run across the whole Gamesys network. In 2025 the casino sites replaced them with their own daily free games, but you can still play both at Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet today. Those two sites sit under the separate LiveScore Group.
Are Daily Free Games fair and regulated?
Every site listed on this page holds a valid UK Gambling Commission licence, and the daily free games are regulated the same as any other game on the site. Results are determined by a certified random number generator — the outcome is decided before you tap a single tile and cannot be predicted or manipulated. If you ever see a website promising "Daily Free Game cheats" or guaranteed-win patterns, avoid it.
Can Daily Free Games lead to spending more on slots?
These games are designed to bring you back every day, so it is easy for a quick free game to turn into a slots session. If that happens a lot, use the tools on your account — deposit limits, session reminders, time-outs or GAMSTOP — so you stay in control of how much you play and spend. Treat any winnings from the free game as real money in your budget, not bonus money you can afford to lose.
