Bingo Site Slots — The Ones We Actually Play
✦ ✦ ✦
Bingo sites have had their own slots for donkey's years — sat right alongside the tickets, long before these blinking games got as loud as they are now!
My first ever spin was Fluffy Favourites. A screen full of grabber-machine plushies and a little pink nellie that jiggles when it lands, half the bingo lobby having a go of an evening between games.
A few spins for a bit of fun between games, then back to the bingo. It came out in 2006 and it's still going, practically an antique in slots terms — but a lovely one.
After Fluffy came Double Bubble and Secrets of the Phoenix — bingo-site regulars heading for vintage territory. A lick of modern paint since, but gentle games at heart.
That's the sort we care about here — the softer, friendlier ones. Fluffy arcade-style slots, glitzy jewels, a bit of charm, made for the bingo players who were there first. Not the pyramids and Viking helmets.
Slots aren't bingo, so go careful
Now, a serious word. There's the other kind of slot too — the big, loud Las Vegas sort, all flashing lights and no clocks on the wall. I've been out there a few times, so I've seen those machines up close. A different animal to a cosy game of bingo.
Slots can be moreish in a way bingo isn't — quicker, built to keep you spinning, and easy to lose track of. So if you have a go, set yourself a limit before you start and stick to it.
A bit of fun, kept to what you can spare. That's the way to enjoy them.
Why we don't list them all
We're a bingo magazine, so we won't list all the slots under the sun — just the ones that turn up on the bingo sites and players actually play.
And I'll be honest, I've felt funny about slots creeping in since about 2017 — when the adverts turned into "play a tenner on bingo, get spins on a fishing slot." As if the whole hall's gagging for a fishing game.
“made for the bingo players who were there first”
I don't know about you, but it wears thin. Bingo grew up as one of the few flutters a woman could have of her own — a night out, a natter, a bit of a flutter — while the chaps had their clubs and their casinos to disappear off to.
It's a broad church now, all ages and all sorts. But it's got its own character, and it's a shame to see it treated as a side door to the slots.
Anyway. What follows is a handful of the slots I like, and reckon you might too — mostly feminine, cute, or dead simple, and rarely a fishing game in sight unless it's a good one.
Have a scroll, find one you fancy, and we'll point you to the sites that run it. No fishing rods required.
