LiveScore Bet has one sister site — and the UKGC licence numbers don't match...

Sister sites usually share a UKGC licence - not this brand. LiveScore Bet and Virgin Bet are an exception to the rules. We told this story on the Virgin Bet sister sites page  - from the other side of the pitch.

Licence 56859 and licence 54310 owned by one company — LiveScore Group. Kambi sportsbook shared, different numbers on the teamsheet.

“Virgin Bet is the only sister on the score sheet. One operator behind both - LiveScore Group.”

The whole brand started with a Man United fan who couldn't get the results. Peter Jerie, living in South Africa, back in the 90s — wrote some code that pulled the scores off Teletext and sent them to his phone. Put it online as LiveScore.com. Fair play to the man. The app came later. The sportsbook came after that.

Over 100 million downloads later. Most of them just wanted to know if their accumulator was still alive at half time. Then someone decided those people might fancy placing one too. The app became a sportsbook in 2020. Ended up on a Sunderland sleeve.

That's the sleeve at the Stadium of Light for the 2025/26 season — Sunderland's first in the Premier League in nearly a decade. Not the front of the shirt — the arm. Second billing on the kit but a longer run than the headline sponsor. Still there when the front-of-shirt ban kicks in.

We partner with LiveScore Group but what we write is ours. We've been covering Virgin Bet since day one and LiveScore Bet since it launched. One outfit, two sleeves.

What About Virgin Bet?

Virgin Bet is the sister. One operator behind both. Kambi running both. Noel Hayden is behind both. Gamesys, Jackpotjoy, Virgin Bet — all his. Then he spun LiveScore Group off in 2019. Both from the same dugout. Virgin Bet got the Branson red signature. This one got the scoreboard. Not a bad split.

Rogue Scores

The LiveScore name is one of the biggest in sport. That kind of reach attracts fakes. See a site wearing the LiveScore Bet name without the livescorebet.com address? Check it against our scam check tool. If it's not on 56859, the sleeve badge is stitched on by someone who didn't buy the rights - likely the black market.

Why People Look Up LiveScore Bet Sister Sites

You want to know if Virgin Bet quotes different odds on the same Kambi platform. It does sometimes — different margins on the matching fixtures. Or you're looking for the Fives game. SQUADS here, Fives at Virgin Bet. Two versions of the same half-time kickabout.

If you need to stop — exclude from either brand and both will lock behind you, it might be a different license but as they are the same company and both they connect as one - like families should do - well some anyway.

Every bookie below sits on a separate licence number. If you're after bookies like LiveScore Bet, some share the Kambi tech and some built their own ground. Here's the lineup.

More sites like LiveScore Bet

Not sister sites — these are separate, UKGC-licensed brands we think LiveScore Bet players will like. Different operators, similar vibe.

✦ LIVESCORE BET SISTER SITES ✦

LiveScore Bet — The Real Sisters, Cousins and Alternative Bookies

✦ ✦ ✦

One sister. Two licences, one dugout. Virgin Bet is LiveScore Bet's only sister brand wearing the same badge - different number.

Virgin Bet launched through Gamesys in 2019 before Hayden spun LiveScore Group out on its own. The Branson red signature on the front, Kambi underneath. Where LiveScore Bet lives inside the scores app, Virgin Bet stands on its own two feet. Different shirt, same changing room. The margins shift between them — worth checking both on a Saturday.

The Cousins

Virgin Games is the one people confuse. Same first name, no Kambi, no sportsbook, no connection to LiveScore Group at all. Gamesys under licence 38905. Casino and bingo. But it's worth knowing about if you're at LiveScore Bet for the daily free games — Virgin Games has its own versions now. When Hayden took Search for the Phoenix and Doubly Bubbly to LiveScore Group, Gamesys had to rebuild from scratch. They did. The slots catalogue is similar too — Double Bubble, Secrets of the Phoenix, the slots favourites all turn up at both.

Bally Bet runs on Kambi through Gamesys. Forest shirt sponsor, slots and sports, no bingo. Likely born from the same idea as Virgin Bet before it moved platforms — a Gamesys sportsbook on Kambi. If you're comparing Kambi odds across the market, Bally Bet is another coupon worth reading.

Bookies Like LiveScore Bet

All on their own licences. All independent of LiveScore Group. But if you're at LiveScore Bet for the odds, the free games or the in-app betting, these are the alternatives worth comparing.

Unibet is where Kambi started. Anders Ström launched Unibet from a flat in Earl's Court in 1997 — a stats dropout who'd sold a sports tipping business from his bedroom. Built the sportsbook, then spun the tech out into a company called Kambi and floated it.

The Kambi odds platform running inside LiveScore Bet right now started in that flat. Unibet is Kindred Group, now owned by FDJ. Sportsbook, casino, poker, bingo — one login covers the lot. The original Kambi punter's home ground.

Betfred started with a World Cup bet. Fred Done and his brother Peter put their winnings from England's 1966 win into a betting shop in Salford. Still privately owned. Still the Done family.

Playtech bingo lobby that most people walk straight past on the way to the sportsbook — 90-ball rooms running behind the counter. No Kambi. Own odds. For a LiveScore Bet punter who fancies an independent with bingo hidden in the back, Betfred is the one nobody expects.

Coral is Entain — same company as Ladbrokes, Foxy, Gala. Joe Coral started taking bets in a Stoke Newington café in 1926. A hundred years of bookmaking.

Sportsbook, casino, bingo, poker, lotto — the full fixture list from one account. In-house odds, not Kambi. If LiveScore Bet is the scores app that became a bookie, Coral is the bookie that became an institution.

Boyle is the other independent. John Boyle borrowed six grand from his dad and opened a shop in Markethill in 1982. Biggest independent bookmaker in Ireland. Runs on Playtech — same bingo network as Betfred, similar slots catalogue.

Sports, casino, bingo, lotto, poker — all under one roof and one family name. No corporate group behind it. Family name on the door and nobody else's. If you want a bookie that answers to the family who built it, Boyle is the one.

Which Bookie Suits Which Punter

Virgin Bet is the only sister — shared Kambi, shared operator, separate licence. Virgin Games has the name and nothing else in common. Bally Bet shares the Kambi tech through Gamesys.

For alternatives, Unibet is the original Kambi home ground. Betfred is the independent with bingo hiding behind the sportsbook. Coral is Entain — a century of bookmaking from one account. Boyle is the family-run independent on Playtech.

And if nothing else on this page feels right? That's because nobody else built a sportsbook inside a scores app with 100 million downloads. The name's on the kit. The scores are on the screen. Not many bookies started with Teletext.

LiveScore Bet Sister Sites — Flagging the Fakes and Misinformation, plus Quick Guide

✦ ✦ ✦

One LiveScore Bet sister site. One. Separate licence number. The lineup hasn't changed since the first score was checked.

The LiveScore name has reach — 100 million downloads, Sunderland's sleeve, Cristiano Ronaldo as ambassador. If a page on Google is using that recognition to bulk out a list with bookies that aren't related, that's your trust in the scoreboard being used to sell someone else's odds.

What Other LiveScore Bet Sister Sites Pages Get Wrong

They fill the lineup with names that don't play for the club. Ten LiveScore Bet sisters. Fifteen. Some are legitimate bookies on other licences — not sisters, just other names on the fixture list. Others have no UKGC licence behind them at all. The lineup looks deep. Nobody checked who's actually registered.

The usual mistake is listing Virgin Games. Same first name as the sister, different everything else. Putting LiveScore Bet and Virgin Games on the same fixture list is like listing two players with the same surname and assuming they're related. They're not.

We've covered LiveScore Bet on Glitzy Bingo since the app turned into a sportsbook. Tracked the Kambi migration and the Sunderland sponsorship. If a site says it's a LiveScore Bet sister and we haven't named it, it's not on our page for a reason.

One Sister. That's the Full Score.

LiveScore Bet has one sister. Virgin Bet. Both under LiveScore Group. Both Kambi. Separate UKGC licence numbers. Exclude from one and the other locks behind you.

Unibet, Betfred, Coral, Boyle — all on their own licences, all independent operators. We've separated them from the sister because knowing the difference matters when your account is on the line.

Spot a site calling itself a LiveScore Bet sister that isn't here? Use our scam check tool. If it's not on 56859 or 54310, it's off the register. Close the tab.

LiveScore Bet Sister Sites: Quick Guide

One sister — Virgin Bet. Kambi odds, one operator, different licence numbers. The cousins are Virgin Games — matching name, similar slots, rebuilt daily free games — and Bally Bet, which runs Kambi through Gamesys like Virgin Bet used to.

For alternatives, Unibet is where Kambi was born — Ström's flat in Earl's Court. Betfred is the independent with Playtech bingo behind the sportsbook. Coral is a century of Entain bookmaking. Boyle is family-run, Playtech-powered, with every market in one account.

One sister. Two cousins. Four alternatives. No padded lineups. No fake scores. LiveScore Bet started with a Man United fan pulling results off Teletext — and not many sportsbooks can say their origin story is that good. Check the score. Check the odds. The badge is still on the shirt.
